Modest Swimwear

Ohana Swimwear creates swimsuits that are made for swimming - not for sunbathing. Our expanded women's and girls lines will fit all of your summer fun needs. The stylish one piece swimsuits feature legs inspired by wetsuits and unitards. And our separates line features bottoms with legs and extra long tankini's and surfer inspired tops as well as board shorts and capris. Whichever style you like best, you will feel comfortable in our suits and can forget about the constant re-adjusting, knowing that you are modest and covered in the right places. We want you to focus on having fun in the water!

For years I have waited for swimsuit manufactures to create a swimsuit that was modest in it's cut and coverage, but still stylish. I finally got tired of waiting, and thought why not try and do it myself. It has been 10 years since I was working full-time in the retail business so, I wasn't quite sure where to start and what exactly I needed to do to make this dream happen. But being a mom of four, I have learned to rely on common sense and figured that was the best place to start. With a lot of questions, a little trial and error, and a lot of inspiration, Ohana Swimwear was born.

I named the company Ohana Swimwear because family is the most important thing in my life. I knew that seeing the name would remind me to remain focused on my priorities. But "Family Swimwear" didn't have the right island feel I wanted. The word Ohana means family in Hawaiian. Ohana Swimwear was the perfect name!

Thanks to Calla Lilly for this info.
