Update: Cooking for Engineers

Last night, I followed the instructions for homemade marshmallows and fudge. The marshmallows were good but the fudge was the very best fudge we have ever had anywhere and was incredibly easy to make. I made one batch of chocolate and one of peanut butter. Both were wonderful and I highly recommend the recipes.

When Queens Ride By

We are called to be our husbands' help-meets.
"A help meet is one who is to give assistance or support and is precisely adapted (made to fit) to a particular situation, need or circumstance. A help meet is precisely made to give assistance and support to the man God has made her for. A help meet is an aid, a backer, an advocate and a champion of her husband."
Sometimes the day-to-day grind wears us down and, after a while, we forget our goals and the best ways to help our husbands. In "When Queens Ride By" by Agnes Slight Turnbull, a hardworking farm wife awakens from the drudgery of life and sees her purpose in a new light. We aren't all farm wives but we have all had days when we have needed the encouragement from the Titus 2 woman in the story.
